Agarwood is one of the most expensive raw material with price ranges of 9,700.00 to 100,000.00 USD per kilogram. We provide exclusive research based technology for high-quality, high-volume agarwood production in the shortest amount of time. We also provide end to end services from production to sales.
Agarwood is a dark, fragrant resinous wood formed in the heartwood of Aquilaria and Gyrinops trees when they become infected with a specific type of mold (Phialophora parasitica or other fungi). In response to this infection, the tree produces a dark aromatic resin, which gradually saturates the surrounding wood—this resin-embedded wood is what’s known as agarwood.
Highly prized for its rich, complex scent, agarwood has been used for centuries in:
-
Perfumes (especially in the Middle East and Asia)
-
Incense and spiritual rituals
-
Traditional medicine in Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Tibetan systems
Because of its rarity and the long time required for natural formation, agarwood is often referred to as “liquid gold” or one of the most expensive woods in the world.
- Otherwise known as Oud, Aloewood or Gaharu is a dark resinous wood used to produce incense, carvings, and perfume.
- The oil distilled from Agarwood is a prized perfume dating back several centuries ago.
- Oud is the perfume used on Jesus’ body after the crucifixion. Oud is the scent loved by the prophet Mohammed and is used in the daily rituals of Islam.
- Agarwood also has a profound cultural and trade history in all of Asia.
